Head Coach Requirements
We are looking for energetic, highly motivated individuals to lead our competitive teams. This position is responsible for--
- Athlete selection and development
- Planning and leading practices
- Coaching at tournaments
- Sharing information with parents and fellow Excel coaches
- Recording tournament results
- Traveling to regional and national tournaments
- Active involvement in community activities involving the club.
At minimum, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- 5+ years head coach experience
- 6+ years playing competitive volleyball
- Strong knowledge of the game including defense, offense and strategic planning
- Team player interested in learning and sharing coaching strategies and techniques
- Education and/or experience in athletic training and conditioning
- USA Volleyball IMPACT certified
- CAP I certified
- Pursuing or interest in pursuing CAP II certification.
Assistant Coach Requirements
This position is responsible for--
- Assisting head coach in planning and leading practices
- Coaching at tournaments
- Sharing information with parents and fellow Excel coaches
- Recording tournament results
- Traveling to regional and national tournaments
- Active involvement in community activities involving the club.
At minimum, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- 2+ years coaching experience
- 4+ years playing competitive volleyball
- Knowledge of the game including defense, offense and strategic planning
- Team player interested in learning and sharing coaching strategies and techniques
- USA Volleyball IMPACT certified
