Romel Manio, Coach Romel (Ro) Manio is entering his fourth consecutive season coaching club volleyball at Excel. Ro was part of the coaching team that led the 12 Elite to be recognized as a top team in North Texas in 2012. He co-coached Excel 15 National in 2010 when they won 1st place at the Lone Star National Qualifier and qualified for USAV Nationals in Reno. In 2011, Ro coached the Excel 17s National team. Ro has coached players 2nd grade through 6th grade leagues in Allen and Plano for the past four years. His experience with volleyball started in Montreal, Canada where he served as team captain for his junior and senior years in high school. He continued playing two years in college while pursuing his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Ro is USAV IMPACT certified and has taught volleyball clinics to youths of all ages. He is married and has two young daughters who also love the game of volleyball. |
