What is Excel’s International Program?

Excel’s International Program provides select athletes ages 14 through 17 an opportunity to train and compete internationally. Excel is developing relationships with competitive clubs around the world. We refer to these clubs as “Sister Clubs”. Excel works with our Sister Clubs to create opportunities for both clubs to visit each other’s countries.

Established a Sister Club in Germany (Sept 2008)
Excel members traveled to Dingden, Germany (July 2009)
Established a Sister Club in Italy (December 2009)
Excel Girls traveled to Italy in July 2010
Excel International Challenge July 2010 featuring Italian and German athletes
Excel travels to Germany and Italy in July 2011
German athletes travel to Plano in July 2012.

6-2 or 5-1 Offensive System

In the game of volleyball, it is almost every athlete’s goal to be a 6-rotation player. Staying in for all 6 rotations means that as a player, you can do a lot of things well: attack, defend, and serve receive. From the setting position, it means that not only does the coach trust you to run the court for the entire duration of the match, but you are capable of blocking and defending at a high level as well.

From a coach’s perspective, we are focused on putting out a lineup and running a system that maximizes the talent of our team and minimizes our weaknesses.
