Mason Duhon, Head Coach
Mason Duhon, an unlikely story. Coach Duhon started playing pickup sand volleyball his senior year of high school during the hot summer nights at his local church. He proceeded to invest more and more time into this "new" sport while attending the greatest university the world has ever seen, Texas A&M. There he made the school's club volleyball second team and received the award of "Most Improved". The following four seasons he started as a right side hitter on the top team. Mason started for the Aggies when they won the 2010 NIRSA National Championship by defeating the University of Florida in Dallas Texas. Two seasons second team all conference and the last season elected captain and named first team all conference. Upon graduating in 2012, Mason coached the Texas A&M Women's club team, where they took 8th place at the National Tournament.
Mason is in his fourth year with Excel. Last year, his 15 White team finished ranked 8th in the Region and won an American bid at Regionals after two finishes in Gold at USA Qualifiers. Mason also qualified as an assistant to 14 White in 2015.
Volleyball will always be a part of Coach Duhon's life.
