Bio

Drew is one of the longest tenured coaches at Excel Volleyball Club and will be entering his 22nd season as a club volleyball coach.  It will be his 12th year at Excel. Drew has a long-standing track record of success qualifying teams in every division from Open to American. He has coached in age groups from 12s to 17s at multiple levels. Drew has coached teams to numerous bids at National Qualifiers including the 17 Red Boys in Orlando this year for his first ever boys season. 2019 his 16 White team qualified in Las Vegas by winning the Gold Ball in USA. Drew has won the Regional Championship in multiple age groups and seasons securing National bids. (13 Red 2018) (14 Red 2017) (14 Red 2015) (14 Red 2014) (16 White 2017 American) Region bids. Drew’s 14 Red team finished 13th in Open in 2016 and was one of his most memorable seasons. In total, Drew has 11 bids to Nationals between his club career at Excel and Texas Image Volleyball Club.
 
Beyond his club experience, Drew also led programs at Trinity Valley and Pantego Christian Academy. He is currently coaching at McKinney Christian Academy. Drew is CAP 1 and VCAP certified. Drew has spent many seasons coaching with his wife Kara who is currently taking time to focus on her teaching career and raising their two boys – Hunter and John Weston.
 
Drew is a high energy coach who loves to compete. He develops very supportive relationships with his players and expects his players to maintain a competitive spirit.
